Just a Rock on Your Boulevard

I had lost the thread of time as
Days passed like seconds sometimes
Or like years otherwise

Taste of dust n rain
Taste of mud n soil

Fate strolled me here for
The Purpose unknown to me,
Gifted with stillness I waited,
Mountains of patience… duns of solitary disguise..…

Taste of dust n rain
Taste of mud n soil

Summer brought me fire n my shadow grew dark,
I waited for the breeze that brought call of rain…
The fragrance of freshness… beckons of imminent Paradise…

Lost in contemplation, I thought I found my purpose
I learned gravity hold me here, stubbornness was my strength
n erosion carved my face (fate)….

I learned miracles happen n I believed I was waiting for one
I grew wiser n foolish in the pursuit of answers…. In pursuit of life

All this tenure of wait,
Many passed me by
Some of them saw me with awe, many fail to recognize….
My throbbing will to live n to revive….
Few cursed my being, many thanked me being…. But they were all passer-by’s

Then came the dawn, almost a month back ..... when You overlooked n I thought another passer-by?
But the day had different light… aura of heavenly design
Unlike others n like very few……
You saw who I was, reckoned me n helped me recognize (myself)…..

Taste of peace n pain
Taste of life n dream

I had strolled here just to make you feel home on this hard terrain…..
That was my purpose…..now it doesn’t matter others ignore me
It doesn't matter they pass me by, as you rest in my shadow…….now I recognize
Who I am …….just a rock on your boulevard…
Now I know who hold me here… who is my strength….. n who carved my fate (face)…..
Now I live now I revive….

Taste of peace n pain
Taste of life n dream
